Adobe Corporate Campus

Adobe / Lehi, Utah

To support Adobe's growth, this innovative $170 million campus in Utah's Silicon Slopes features a five-story structure spanning 280,000 SF and accommodating more than 1,100 employees. The campus also has expansion capacity of nearly 600,000 SF (capable of supporting up to 3,000 employees) and a three-level parking plaza. The facility features 40,000 SF of amenity space, including an indoor basketball court, a rock-climbing wall, a gaming room, a full-service fitness center, an indoor/outdoor café, communal areas, and landscaped green spaces with Wi-Fi access.

With sustainability at the forefront, our team provided comprehensive electrical and mechanical engineering design services for the project. The facility is currently Adobe’s highest-performing, lowest-energy building. We achieved LEED® Gold Certification and incorporated energy-efficient strategies such as reclaiming heat from equipment to warm the building during colder months. The innovative mechanical engineering design utilizes indirect-direct evaporative cooling (IDEC) to reduce cooling costs by approximately 80 percent.

Electrical engineering services included technology systems for voice/data cabling and security infrastructure. Cost-effective electrical design solutions included flexible non-metallic tubing embedded in concrete slabs, flexible drop cords for power and data distribution, and metal-clad cabling for branch circuits. To provide additional energy and cost savings, critical IT loads were supported through an A-B bus configuration, combining UPS power with generator/utility power to eliminate the need for dual UPS systems.

Spectrum Engineers and Colvin Engineering completed this project before the merger.
