The skilled, bright, talented, and industrious people who make up Lynk Engineers come from firms with deep roots in engineering design, planning, and delivery for the built environment.

Lynk Engineers leadership team collaborating — award-winning MEPT engineering firm serving Utah, Idaho, and Maryland

In March of 2026, Spectrum Engineers, Colvin Engineering, and Envision Engineering merged to form Lynk Engineers.

Each firm brought distinct strengths. Spectrum, 165 professionals strong with 44 years of practice, brought regional and international depth in mechanical, electrical, and technology systems, including specialization in healthcare and complex data centers. Colvin, a 35-person mechanical engineering firm with 40 years in business, built its reputation on exceptional sustainability outcomes. Envision, a 45-person electrical engineering firm with 32 years of practice, pioneered renewable energy applications and Zero Energy design.

Our combined knowledge and experience bank brings together decades of expertise, deep technical knowledge, and a shared commitment to collaboration, innovation, and client service.

Award-Winning Work

Our legacy firms are recognized leaders in sustainable, high-performance design, with hundreds of LEED®, WELL Building, and ENERGY STAR certified facilities to our credit.

That track record has earned consistent recognition from the industry's most respected voices, including Engineering News-Record, Utah Construction + Design, the International Interior Design Association, Associated Builders and Contractors, and PSMJ.

At Lynk, we're the people behind these accolades. We carry that heritage and spirit of excellence forward on every project we touch.

A History of Shared Collaboration

Long before the merger, Spectrum, Colvin, and Envision were already building together. Across decades of joint work, we delivered some of the Intermountain West's most complex and consequential projects, including the campus-wide University of Utah Infrastructure Upgrade, the relocation of the Utah State Correctional Facility, and the new Salt Lake City International Airport.

That proven partnership is now permanent. Together, we deliver integrated, energy-efficient, and future-ready MEPT solutions at any scale.
