Chris Kobayashi, PE, LEED AP

  • Chris Kobayashi leads Lynk Engineers' vision, strategy, and long-term growth. He previously served as President and COO of Spectrum Engineers. As an electrical engineer since 2006, Chris specializes in high- and medium-voltage distribution, substation design, and SCADA integration for complex, multi-phase projects. His project experience includes the University of Utah Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade and the comprehensive electrical utility distribution network for the new Utah State Prison complex.

    In 2024, Utah Business named Chris an Executive Excellence honoree in recognition of his leadership and impact on Utah’s business community.

Scott Hardy, PE, RCDD, LEED AP

  • Scott Hardy provides day-to-day leadership and operational direction for Lynk Engineers. He also leads Lynk's services to the religious market sector. Previously, Scott served as CFO at Envision Engineering. In 2005, Scott began his electrical engineering career and has developed breadth and depth of experience with projects ranging from religious, higher education, municipal, commercial, and hospitality to power distribution master planning and design. As a Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD), he has led the integration of technology, security, telecommunications, IT, and audiovisual systems.

    Scott’s project experience includes the BYU-Hawaii McKay Complex, Blackstone Corporate Headquarters, historic St. George and Provo City Center temple renovations, the Overstock.com corporate campus, the UVU Clinical Service Building, and the Utah State Developmental Center Comprehensive Medical & Therapy Building.

Jarrett Capstick, PE, LEED AP

  • Jarrett Capstick oversees all mechanical engineering services at Lynk Engineers. Jarrett also leads Lynk's services in the K-12 school sector. Since 2006, he has designed complex HVAC systems for commercial, higher education, laboratory, municipal, and industrial facilities. As a former Principal at Colvin Engineering, Jarrett led the mechanical design of numerous high-performance, energy-efficient buildings across public and private sectors, including state-of-the-art HVAC design for advanced science and medical research facilities at the University of Utah and Weber State University.

    Jarrett is a past president of the Utah Chapter of ASHRAE and is committed to delivering efficient, functional, and innovative building systems.

Aleksandar Rankovic, PE, LEED Green Associate

  • Aleksandar Rankovic directs Lynk Engineers' full range of electrical engineering services. He brings a breadth of experience designing electrical systems for public, commercial, and institutional facilities. As a Principal at Envision Engineering and as an electrical engineer since 2007, Aleksandar has led electrical design for government, transportation, education, healthcare, and commercial projects. His expertise includes electrical distribution, alarm and notification systems, lighting and controls, and emergency power systems.

    Aleksandar has managed numerous projects at Salt Lake City International Airport, including electrical engineering for components of the new $5 billion Terminal Redevelopment Program.

Dave Wesemann, PE, LEED AP

  • Dave Wesemann serves as Executive Advisor to Lynk Engineers, guiding strategy, operations, performance, and long-term initiatives. As an electrical engineer since 1990, his career spans over 35 years of experience at Spectrum Engineers, including six years as the former CEO, where he played a central role in the firm’s sustained growth and success.

    Dave is a highly accomplished electrical engineer with deep expertise in data centers and mission-critical electrical infrastructure. He has led engineering efforts for industrial, educational, medical, commercial, and government facilities across the U.S. and internationally, and has directed more than 50 LEED®, WELL Building, and ENERGY STAR® projects.

Steve Connor, PE, LEED AP

  • Steve Connor is an Executive Advisor to Lynk Engineers, offering seasoned leadership and insight on strategic direction, risk management, and methods to improve client service. In 1984, Steve began his career as a mechanical engineer. He is widely respected for his professional contributions to many successful building projects throughout Utah.

    For the past 14 years, Steve was President of Colvin Engineering, where he guided daily decision-making, mentored future leaders, and delivered consistent, high-quality outcomes for a broad range of public and private clients. He is known for a practical, disciplined approach that produces efficient, creative designs and reliable execution. Steve's notable projects include the Salt Lake City Public Library, the Natural History Museum of Utah, and the S.J. Quinney College of Law.

Jeff Owen, PE, LC, LEED AP

  • Jeff Owen serves as Executive Advisor to Lynk Engineers, contributing expertise in planning, innovation, technology, and thought leadership. Since 1987, Jeff has been known as an outstanding electrical engineer and entrepreneur. As founder and former CEO of Envision Engineering, he established a strong reputation for leadership in electrical engineering and lighting design.

    One of Jeff's most pioneering accomplishments and strides in promoting sustainable design and renewable energy includes the design of Utah’s first Net-Zero K–12 school. His long-time career includes extensive electrical infrastructure design for many of Utah’s largest and most complex projects across multiple market sectors.

Jonathan Arnold, RCDD

  • Jonathan Arnold leads Lynk Engineers' technology systems design team. With extensive experience that began in 1987, he offers in-depth experience in low-voltage infrastructure and technology systems. As a Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD), his expertise spans structured cabling, voice and data networks, LAN/WAN and fiber infrastructure, distributed antenna systems, security and access control, and data center technology infrastructure. He has delivered technology systems for healthcare facilities, higher education campuses, airports, Department of Defense installations, and corporate environments.

    Jonathan's career-long focus on translating complex technical requirements into reliable, well-coordinated infrastructure has made him a trusted resource for clients across public and private sectors.

Roger Hamlet, PE, LEED AP BD+C

  • Roger Hamlet is a Vice President at Lynk Engineers leading services to the commercial market sector. He was formerly a Vice President with Colvin Engineering Associates as an integral member of the firm’s executive management team. He offers decades of experience with mechanical engineering, construction document specifications, and mechanical system design.

    Roger is known for his expertise in leading efforts to streamline corporate and design processes, is a sought-after host for professional training, and is a revered mentor for up-and-coming engineers. In addition to the commercial sector, he has successfully managed projects for laboratory, higher education, manufacturing, municipal, and public use buildings. He also offers specialized experience for complex utility tunnel upgrade projects, including several mechanical utility tunnel projects for state and local government facilities.

Matt Haverkamp, PE

  • Matt Haverkamp leads Lynk Engineers' power infrastructure team, bringing more than two decades of combined design and construction oversight experience to every project. As an electrical engineer specializing in medium- and high-voltage infrastructure, he brings expertise in substation design, transmission and distribution systems, utility interconnections, protection and control systems, and SCADA integration for data centers, municipalities, and renewable energy facilities. He specializes in power engineering solutions for mission-critical facilities where reliability and high performance are non-negotiable.

    Matt also manages teams providing electrical engineering for a variety of building types, including higher education, municipal facilities, correctional facilities, and civic and performing arts centers.

Peter Johansen, PE, LEED AP BD+C

  • Peter Johansen leads Lynk Engineers' services to the healthcare market sector, bringing more than three decades of electrical engineering experience to one of the most challenging building design environments. His portfolio encompasses over 850 healthcare projects across replacement hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, cancer centers, behavioral health units, and medical office buildings.

    Peter specializes in life-safety power systems, emergency power, medical gas coordination, and phased renovations in active hospital environments. He holds PE licensure in seven states: California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming.

  • Lance Kobayashi leads Lynk Engineers' integrated MEPT engineering services for the higher education and government market sectors. An electrical engineer whose career has been dedicated to campuses and civic facilities, he has delivered electrical systems for new construction and complex renovations across technical colleges, state universities, and major research institutions throughout Utah, including significant work at the University of Utah, Utah State University, Utah Valley University, Southern Utah University, and multiple technical college campuses.

    His project experience includes classrooms, laboratories, student centers, performing arts venues, athletic facilities, and campus-wide infrastructure upgrades — consistently aligning technical solutions with institutional goals and budget realities.

Lance Kobayashi

Spencer Little, PE

  • Spencer Little leads Lynk Engineers' MEPT engineering services for the multifamily housing and hospitality market sectors. Since 2008, his electrical engineering experience has focused on multifamily, senior, affordable, and mixed-use residential projects, as well as hospitality, resorts, and student housing. Before becoming a licensed professional engineer, he worked as a licensed electrician — hands-on field experience that continues to inform his approach to unit-level systems, power distribution, life-safety, and low-voltage integration.

    In 2018, Building Design and Construction named him to its Top 40 Under 40 list in recognition of his emerging leadership in the built environment.
