BIM Modeler – Low Voltage

Position Summary
Lynk Engineers is seeking a Low Voltage BIM Modeler to support the design, coordination, and development of low voltage and technology system models for commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, civic, and mission critical projects. This role works closely with engineers, technology designers, architects, and project teams to develop accurate BIM models and coordinated construction documents for integrated building technology systems.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient in Revit, collaborative, and interested in technology systems and BIM coordination within the AEC industry.
Essential Responsibilities
Develop and maintain BIM models for low voltage and technology systems using Revit and related software platforms
Produce accurate layouts, plans, details, schedules, and construction documents for low voltage systems
Coordinate technology systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines
Assist engineers and designers with model development and project documentation
Participate in BIM coordination meetings and clash detection reviews
Incorporate project revisions, RFIs, and coordination comments into BIM models
Maintain BIM standards, templates, and modeling best practices
Support field verification, site visits, and coordination activities as needed
Maintain organized project files and assist with meeting project schedules and deadlines
Systems Experience Preferred
Experience with one or more of the following systems is preferred:
Structured cabling systems
Audio/visual systems
Security systems
Access control systems
CCTV systems
Telecommunications systems
Wireless systems
Nurse call systems
Paging/intercom systems
Data center technology infrastructure
Qualifications
Associate's degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in drafting, BIM, engineering technology, or related field preferred
2+ years of BIM modeling or drafting experience preferred
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit required
Experience with AutoCAD preferred
Familiarity with low voltage and technology systems preferred
Understanding of construction documentation and multidisciplinary coordination processes
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within project teams
Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
Navisworks or clash detection software
BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud
Commercial building projects within the AEC industry
Technology systems coordination and integration
Understanding of pathways, cable routing, and equipment room layouts
