Project Manager - Electrical

Position Summary 

Lynk Engineers is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to lead the planning, design, coordination, and execution of electrical engineering projects across commercial, healthcare, education, civic, hospitality, industrial, and mission critical markets. This role is responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing project teams, maintaining project budgets and schedules, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. 

The ideal candidate is technically strong, organized, collaborative, and experienced in managing electrical engineering projects within the AEC industry. 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Manage electrical engineering projects from concept through construction completion 

  • Lead project planning, scheduling, staffing, budgeting, and client communication 

  • Oversee the design and coordination of electrical systems, including: 

  • Power distribution systems 

  • Lighting and lighting controls 

  • Emergency power systems 

  • Low voltage coordination 

  • Fire alarm systems 

  • Sustainable and energy-efficient system solutions 

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, and contractor partners 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams 

  • Review engineering calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents 

  • Monitor project scope, budgets, schedules, and deliverable quality 

  • Support proposal development, business development, and client relationship management 

  • Participate in construction administration activities including submittal reviews, RFIs, field observations, and project meetings 

  • Mentor and support engineers, designers, BIM modelers, and project staff 

  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company quality expectations 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required 

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain licensure 

  • 6+ years of electrical engineering experience preferred 

  • Previous project management experience within the AEC industry preferred 

  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD preferred 

  • Strong understanding of electrical building systems and construction documentation 

  • Familiarity with NEC, energy codes, and industry standards 

  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills 

Preferred Experience 

Experience with one or more of the following is preferred: 

  • Commercial and institutional building design 

  • Healthcare or mission critical facilities 

  • Lighting and lighting controls 

  • Emergency power and generator systems 

  • BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project delivery 

  • Construction administration and field coordination 

  • Client development and project financial management
