Noorda Center for the Performing Arts
Utah Valley University / Orem, Utah
Our team provided mechanical engineering services for the design and construction of the approximately $48,000,000, 131,000 SF, three-level performing arts center to house the theatre, performing, and visual arts departments. The building also serves as a gateway to the East side of campus.
The Noorda Performing Arts Center includes a 900-seat concert hall, 250-seat recital hall, 500-seat proscenium theater, dance studios, classrooms, administrative offices, music library, and music rehearsal rooms.
We provided full-service mechanical engineering design for the sustainable HVAC systems for the arts center. The mechanical systems inside this building were designed to comply with some of the most stringent acoustical requirements of any performing arts building in the state.
Colvin Engineering and Spectrum Engineers completed this project before the merger.
